Hello! My name is Pam, and this is my first semester at Brandman. My major is Early Child Development. Once finished with my Bachelor's degree, I plan to pursue my Master's degree in Library Science in hopes to become a Librarian.
Since the Librarian career is all about helping others research topics, I feel that an important aspect of this career I would like to explore more is how to tell if material is a legitimate source. I would also like to learn more about library databases, since this skill will also be very helpful in my library career. One more skill I would like to be more fluent in, is learning how to properly cite materials. I currently work at the public library and feel that these skills will help me in my current position as well as future positions.

ReplyDeleteHello Pam,
It is a pleasure to meet you. This too is my first semester here at Brandman University and I am excited to be attending. I see that you will get a Bachelor's degree in early child development, but for your Master's degree it will change to Library Science. Does your career choice as a Librarian relate to your Bachelor's degree? I too believe that this class will help me learn how to cite my research better. As a Librarian I do think that it will be very important for you to be able to cite information correctly.I think you are on the right track and another step closer to your career.I hope you do well here at Brandman and good luck on your career.
Hi Katrina! Thank you for your encouraging words. Yes, my bachelor's degree will relate to my master's degree in the hopes that I will someday be a children's librarian. How do you like your classes at Brandman so far? Mine are going well. I look forward to interacting with you more in our class. Thanks!
